Abstract
Abstract
Bullous pemphigoid is a chronic autoimmune, sub epidermal blistering skin disease commonly observed in the elderly (over 70 years old). It is characterized by the presence of immunoglobulin G autoantibodies specific for hemi-desmosomal bullous pemphigoud antigens BP 230 (Bp Ag1) and BP 180m (BP Ag 2). In this study, we report the case of a 32 year old Urhobo lady with bullous pemphigoid and its frequently presents as a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
